Good group practice website design has a harder job than a solo site — it has to represent multiple clinicians, multiple specialties, and often multiple approaches, without making a potential client feel like they’re reading a directory. It’s not that a generic template can’t look fine. It’s that it can’t say anything specific about your practice: how you work together, who each of your clinicians is best suited to help, why someone should trust your group with something this personal.
That’s what we build instead — a custom site that actually reflects your practice, so the right clients can find the right clinician, and feel like they understand your group before they ever reach out.
We start by learning how your practice actually works — how referrals move between clinicians, what makes each specialty distinct, what your group has in common — and build the site around that, instead of starting from a template and hoping it fits everyone.
It’s also built to be found. A group practice usually has more to say than a solo practitioner — more specialties, more services, more reasons someone might land on your site — and that’s an advantage in search if the site is actually built to use it. A well-built group practice website design shows up for a wider range of searches than a solo site ever could, as long as it’s structured to make that possible instead of burying it.
Here’s what that looked like for one group practice we worked with.
Here’s a group practice website design for Calming Waters Counseling Services, a growing and versatile private group practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. They needed a re-designed website that reflected their approach and properly represented all of the ways that they can serve their clients.
I worked closely with Amanda, the practice owner, to understand her goals for their new website and what type of design would best represent the work that they do. We did a content interview and a refresh of the website content, to bring everything up to date. Then we embarked on the design phase, using the water and beach imagery throughout the new site to create a peaceful and cohesive feel.
